Seoul Land was the first amusement park in Korea. Indeed, it was a Korean Disneyland. Capturing people’s imagination with a popular logo song, Seoul Land was built as part of efforts to prepare for the Seoul Summer Olympics in 1988 and has been a beloved attraction ever since.
Consisting of World Plaza, Adventure Land, Fantasy Land, Tomorrow Land, and Samcheolli Hill, the park offers an endless array of adventures to visitors. Adventure Land and Fantasy Land, in particular, are full of dynamic, thrilling facilities. A Viking ride, wave ride, bumper cars, and walking over water in a transparent ball offer excitement and fun to visitors.
Tomorrow Land welcomes visitors with scary thrills. These are the most popular facilities in Seoul Land. While visitors may need to wait in line for an hour or two, they are anxious to ride attractionsthat will release their stress once and for all.
Seoul Grand Park, right next to Seoul Land, is an ideal picnic site for kids. It is a comprehensive park with a zoo, a botanical garden, theme garden, and rose garden. It is a nature learning site through the exhibition of animals and plants, but also a place to confirm the co-existence of animals and humans. The zoo houses over 3,000 animals (360 species) from rare animals like the lowland gorilla, Indian rhinoceros, and giant tortoiseto cute animals like a baby lion. The likes of huge Indian rhinoceroses and tigers fascinate kids and pique their curiosity.
Aside from simply watching animals, kids can also participate in various learning programs such as theAnimal Ecology Program and Animal Painting Program. During the Animal Ecology Program, children can learn about animals like dolphins, sea lions, eagles, and snacks, feed them, and take pictures with them.
In spring, splendid flowers await visitors in the theme park, botanical garden, and rose garden. Surrounded by nature, Seoul Grand Park, full of animals and plants, offers fun recreational experiences to visitors.
